Injection Waterproofing for a Rail Contractor

The client had a requirement for waterproofing to a masonry barrelled viaduct to arrest water ingress without lifting of track and causing distribution to rail passengers.

The works involved carrying out the following

  • Drilling to the back of the extrados of the masonry barrelled arch
  • Placing an injection waterproof resin to the back of the structure to arrest water ingress
  • Installation of positive drainage relief pipes
  • Carry out testing of the waterproofing following completion to prove the success of the system
