Ground Stabilisation for a Construction Contractor

The client had a requirement to consolidate and fill voids to the ground at the back of the piled wall, which was identified due to the movement of the front façade of the building and the neighbouring 3 party structure. This was assumed to have been caused by the poorly constructed piles, and fines wash out during the excavation process.

The works involved driving injection lances 1 meters deep past the back of the piled wall to an area of approximately 20m2. Once installed, the injection lances were injected with a structural polyurethane ground stabilisation geopolymer resin until refusal, having a consolidating effect on the ground, and reinstating the required ground bearing capacity.
